Giraffe Photography is Stephen Folker, photographing weddings, seniors, families and business across the Quad Cities and far beyond it since 2004.
Approach
Stephen Folker has been photographing the Quad Cities since 2004, and has carried a camera from ceremonies on the Mississippi River to receptions in downtown Chicago. The approach has not really changed in that time: watch, wait, and photograph what actually happens rather than arranging a version of it.
The studio covers weddings, senior portraits, kids and families, and business work. The Baby Giraffe Club follows a first year across three sessions, at three months, seven months and twelve months, and finishes with a Watch Me Grow collage built from the year. Families who join after six months get a shortened plan.
Alongside the stills, Stephen works as an award-winning cinematographer and director, with credits including the A&E and Hulu series Killer Cases and projects for PBS and HBO. That side of the studio produces commercials, brand films and company bios for businesses across the region.
